Sacred Sleep Spray
4oz
This homemade magnesium spray is a fragrance free. This spray has protective and cleansing properties to support deep sleep and energetic protection while you’re sleeping.
*Shake well before every use*
Magnesium spray, often called "magnesium oil" (though it's a salt and water solution, not a true oil), is used topically to help with relaxation, muscle tension, and sleep. The magnesium is absorbed through the skin, a process called transdermal absorption.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use it for sleep:
Apply the spray 20 to 30 minutes before bed to give the magnesium time to absorb and for the relaxing effects to begin.
Optimal Skin Prep: For the best absorption, apply the spray right after a warm shower or bath when your skin is clean, warm, and your pores are more open.
Where to Apply: While you can apply it almost anywhere, the most recommended areas for sleep and relaxation are:
Feet: The soles of the feet are a popular choice because the skin is less sensitive and has large pores for good absorption. Spray a few pumps and rub it in.
Legs/Calves: This is especially helpful if you experience restless legs syndrome or nighttime muscle cramps. Focus on massaging it into the calves and the backs of the knees.
Abdomen/Stomach: Massaging it into the stomach can help relax muscles in that area and may help reduce stress and anxiety.
Neck and Shoulders: These areas often hold tension, and targeted application and massage can help the muscles relax before sleep.
Recommended number of sprays (typically 2 to 5 sprays is enough)
Massage: Gently massage the spray into your skin to help stimulate absorption. Allow it to air dry for a minute or so.
Important Tips and Precautions:
Tingling/Itching: A slight tingling, stinging, or itching sensation is common, especially when you first start using the spray. It may be a sign of low magnesium levels and usually subsides with regular use as your body's levels are replenished.
Avoid Sensitive Areas: DO NOT apply the spray to broken, irritated, or freshly shaved skin, and avoid your eyes and other sensitive areas.
*Consult a Doctor: If you have any pre-existing health conditions, especially related to the heart or kidneys, consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new magnesium supplement, including topical sprays.
Consistency: Consistent daily use is key to seeing a benefit over time.
